The introduction of 3G services by Airtel is expected to intensify the competition among mobile service providers who are already slashing charges on voice calls to gain a competitive edge. Decreased revenues from voice calls have prompted mobile service providers to shift their focus towards data, aiming to capture the expanding market. These data bundles are further categorized into postpaid and prepaid plans to suit different user preferences.

Bharti Airtel has introduced an array of data bundle charges, including:

Prepaid Internet Bundles with no expiry date Unlimited Prepaid Internet Plans, ranging from 1 day to 30 days Unlimited Postpaid Plans for 24 hours per day Unlimited Postpaid Plans for nights and weekends only Postpaid Internet Bundles with no expiry date

Bharti Airtel Unlimited Postpaid Internet Data Bundle Plan for Nights and Weekends:One-month subscription at Kshs 1,995 per month
A refundable deposit of Kshs 2,000 is required for a 12-month contract. Additionally, you will receive a free Airtel modem after signing up at any Airtel center nationwide.
Nighttime applies from Monday through Friday, 7 pm to 7 am, while Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays offer all-day and night access.
The normal pay-as-you-go plan remains at Kshs 7 per MB.
The Bharti Airtel modem costs Kshs 1,700 and comes with 25MB worth of free data.
