Absa Bank Kenya, in partnership with Visa, has announced the launch of an elite Visa Infinite Card targeted at the high and ultra-net worth segments in Kenya. This will be the country's first-ever card made of metal, cleverly melding sophistication with high-end functionality to redefine the meaning of banking.

Exclusive Benefits for Cardholders

For the promotion of the lifestyles of its users, the Absa Visa Infinite Card is loaded with quite a number of privileged high-class privileges that stand out, including:

  • Unlimited Use of more than 1,200 airport lounges and 900 luxury hotels worldwide.
  • 24-Hour Concierge Services: Personalized Concierge services at your beck and call as a cardholder.
  • Wide Travel Insurance: A policy limit increased to $2.5 million - Ksh.322 million for those going on holiday to make sure everything is okay on the go.
  • Buyer Protection: Increased by 100% from $10,000 to $20,000 - Ksh 2.6 million.

Speaking during the Launch

Abdi Mohamed, Managing Director of Absa Bank Kenya, said at the launch that the bank had prioritized meeting unique demands for every customer segment. He further clarified that customers today demand more personalized, efficient, and flexible banking solutions.

"Our partnership with Visa on the Absa Visa Infinite Card bolsters our affluent portfolio with a suite of unique spend power, enhanced rewards, and heightened protection," said Mohamed.

Environmental and Sustainability Focus

This new metallic card is not an indulgence but also an environmentally friendly gesture in line with Absa's commitment to sustainability. Due to its metal design, it will be more durable compared to conventional plastic cards, which will further support the bank in its journey toward 2050 net zero.

More so, 0.05% of every flight ticket purchased using the card will be used in planting trees, hence conserving the environment.

Innovating with Visa

The other speakers included Chad Pollock, who is the Vice President and General Manager of Visa East Africa. He asserted that Visa was committed to ensuring that cardholders enjoy innovative, unparalleled experiences. He took the opportunity to present the new Visa Infinite Metal Card as a witness to Visa's actions toward beating the expectations of its luxury segment of customers.

This card provides not only worldwide acceptance but access to card members also for only select, VIP events, special offers, and exclusive experiences anywhere in the world.
